Jeffrey Newbauer contracted a rare form of cancer when he was away at college and it wasn’t diagnosed in time to save his life. He died at the age of 22. Before he passed, his family promised him a legacy that would live on —a foundation they titled Gen Eff. Our job was to write an interactive website for Gen Eff educating young adults on the importance of taking control of their own healthcare. From knowing their family history to speaking up even when it’s hard, young adults reading the site are encouraged to become their own health advocates so that they don’t have to be passive participants in a rigid healthcare system. The copy we created is both a wake-up call and a tribute to a young man who faced both life and death with optimism and a true desire to help others.
