BAHLER STREET

The Strategy

The owners of The Philosophy of Pie, Co. (Park Street Pizza, Dola Jean’s) were experimenting with wood-fired pizza and wanted a truly personal brand. They had already named the company after the street where they started their married life together—Bahler Street. As they reminisced about their quirky first home, the conversation turned to their love of cozy comforts, books, and perfectly chewy sourdough crust. The brand we created for them contains all of those elements; Pizzas are named for favorite novels, bookmarks are printed with descriptions of each pie along with short synopses of the books they’re named for, and carry-out boxes have book plates on the lids with space for names. It’s a brand unlike any other: both entirely familiar and wholly unusual.

“ I give Chris at Verb Garden my highest recommendation to anyone looking to elevate their brand identity through words and storytelling. Chris is a great listener who patiently gets to know her clients and is able to translate their passion into something tangible. She has worked on several projects with us in many ways, such as listening to our customers to best understand what we represent, giving us a voice that is genuine and authentic in copywriting for our websites, and helping give iconic names to our popular menu items. Chris is a true professional with the talent to enhance any business she works with. “
