SNOWVILLE CREAMERY

The Strategy

When we met with Snowville Creamery in Athens, Ohio, they were struggling with backlash regarding the illustrated maiden on their milk cartons. Garbed in a dress and bonnet and carrying a wooden pail, she was considered by many to be too old-fashioned and too submissive a figure. But to the women who own and run the company, she was the representation of all they believed: that women are strong, that they can do the hard work, and they can do it all while caring for the local farmers, grass-grazed cows, and health-conscious customers who depend on them. Clearly, the maiden was not ready to be put out to pasture. So we updated her image and gave her a new story.

Long may she pour.

Verb Garden's services have been a tremendous asset to our business.  The process from start to finish was rooted in first taking in our story, our vision, our values.  As with most businesses, when you're entrenched in the busyness of keeping the day-to-day operations going, it can be challenging to clearly communicate what it is that you do, what you stand for, in a clear and impactful manner.  Chris' expertise allowed us to hone our messaging, and find power in our work through carefully crafted copywriting.  The final result left us in tears.  We felt seen, we felt strength, we found unity in our messaging through Chris' beautiful articulation of our story.”
